“My motivation for venturing on this pilgrimage is somewhat unclear to me now. I do not think it was ever very clear, except for wanting a gratifying escape connected to spirituality and landscape. Yet, by being open to what might occur while travelling, there was a larger void in my mind reserved for the unexpected”. This is a quote from my Architectural MA thesis about my pilgrimage on the Camino de Santiago, but curiously I can use the same sentiment for my journey choosing the life of an artist and designer. If you are open for experiences on the path, that openness and playfulness will undeniably benefit your practice.
